This site is a tribute to Jerry, who was born in Castlerea County Roscommon in the Republic of Ireland on July 11, 1944. He is much loved and will always be remembered.
Jerry was a kind, thoughtful and considerate man, he was also very generous and would do anyone a good turn if he could, a real gentleman in every sense of the word.
He became unwell a couple of years ago but he always remained very positive and upbeat, he never lost his lovely outlook on life and continued to live life with as much normality as possible. He never lost his great sense of humour and was still singing some of his favourite Irish songs during his final days.
In his final days Jerry was looked after by The MacMillan Nursing Team at home, they took very good care of Jerry and also supported his wife Janet.
Janet has requested family flowers only so a kind donation to MacMillan would be greatly appreciated.
Lovely man. Was always there to help my mum and dad when they lived next door.
What a legend. Thank You for the kindness and laughter you gave Oscar. Oscar always came back showing me his new boxing moves. Will be missed very much x Sending love to the whole family.
